Made-to-measure means the garment is cut for you — from your own measurements, in a fabric you have chosen — instead of being picked from a rack of standard sizes and altered. At GUVY in Kavuri Hills, Madhapur — a short drive from Hitech City, Jubilee Hills, Kondapur and Gachibowli, that is the only way anything is made.

The six steps, exactly as they happen at GUVY

  1. Message GUVY on WhatsApp. Tell us what you are looking for — an office shirt, trousers that finally fit, a wardrobe refresh. You can browse the fabrics on guvy.in first and send the ones you like.
  2. A phone call. Someone from GUVY calls you back to understand what you need and to arrange your visit. Nothing is ordered or paid for at this point.
  3. Visit the shop in Kavuri Hills, Madhapur. See and feel the fabrics in person, choose your cloth, and have your measurements taken. You choose your styles here too — collar and placket for a shirt; belt, pockets and finishing for trousers.
  4. Cutting and stitching. Your garment is pattern-made and cut to your own measurements — not altered from a standard size. Where a trial fitting is needed, you try it before it is finished.
  5. Follow your order. GUVY sends you a personal link on WhatsApp where you can see each stage: pattern making, stitching, buttons & finishing, ready.
  6. Collect from the shop. Collect your finished garment from the shop. You can pay at the shop by cash, card or UPI, or online by UPI.

What you choose

The fabric is your choice, from the cloths in the shop (you can browse many of them on guvy.in first). For each garment you also choose its details. These are the options GUVY records for every order:

  • Shirt collars: Cut Away, Spread, Small Spread, Straight Point, Small Point, Point 2 Button, Button Down, Club, Band
  • Shirt plackets: American placket, French placket
  • Trouser belt: Long belt, Short belt
  • Trouser pockets: Two cross pockets, One or two back pockets, Waist pocket
  • Trouser finishing: Casual press, Formal press, Bottom hemming, Bottom machine stitch

What it is not

  • Not an online order form — everything is agreed with you in person first.
  • Not a ready-made shirt shortened at the sleeves — the pattern starts from your measurements.
  • Not a full traditional bespoke suit commission — GUVY focuses on shirts, trousers and kurtas, so you can start with a single shirt.
