Your first made-to-measure order: what to expect
A GUVY guide · 2026-10-11
Made-to-measure can sound like something reserved for weddings or expensive designers. At GUVY it is simpler than that: you choose a fabric, get measured, choose a few details, and come back to collect a garment that fits you. No suit is required — one shirt is a perfectly normal first order.
Before you visit
- Message GUVY on WhatsApp with what you are after. You can send screenshots of fabrics you liked on guvy.in.
- GUVY calls you back to understand what you need and arrange a time.
- If you have a shirt or trousers you like the fit of, it can help to mention it — it is an easy way to explain your preferences.
At the shop
- See and handle the fabrics in person and pick the one you want.
- Your measurements are taken by GUVY.
- Choose the details — collar and placket for shirts; belt, pockets and finishing for trousers.
- Ask anything: the conversation happens before anything is cut or paid for.
After the visit
GUVY sends you a personal link on WhatsApp where you can follow your order through each stage. Where a trial fitting is needed, you try the garment before it is finished. When it is ready you collect it from the shop. You can pay at the shop by cash, card or UPI, or online by UPI.
